This is us, the Rudeca duo earlier this year, performing at a space in Seoul, called Banjul. Tae Kyung SEO on vocals and RUI INABA on piano.
I've heard some opinions that one should stick to an instrument, and sort of singularly develop that. While I do understand and do not take lightly the approach of those with such opinions, I have to say, I try to conjure the message of the moment in the space, specifically. On some occasions of performing at Banjul, we were lucky enough to have a mini grand piano at the ready, and I had some vision of how I could use it to present my portion to Tae Kyung. I hope this kind of conceptual composition, as a preparation to spontaneous improvisation, translates to the audience.
